Describe the generous heart of God toward you. How does God’s character and work inspire generosity in and among his people?
Prayer prompt: For the church to live together generously and graciously, caring for the body of Christ with one heart and soul.
Prayer: Jehovah Jireh, you are our Provider, and every good gift we have comes down from your hand (James 1:16). You have poured out grace upon grace to us through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus (John 1:16). Open our eyes to see your unfailing love and faithfulness. Open our hearts and hands to live generously with our time, abilities, and possessions (Psalm 119:18). Let the truth of your word, “it is better to give than to receive,” resonate in our minds and make us joyful givers (Acts 20:35)!
