Why is the church in Antioch so significant? From these descriptions, how would you describe the rhythms and priorities of this church?
How would most people—even most Christians—describe a “successful” church? How does that desciption compare to the church in Antioch?
What keeps churches from sending—people, leaders, and resources—to bless other churches? Why is it critical for churches (like ours) to be generous to other churches, especially those in need?

Prayer prompt: For the church to grow in number through evangelism, discipleship, and ministry to people and areas in need.
Prayer: Father, you are the Creator and Sustainer of your church, and we praise you. Jesus, we believe you are building your Kingdom through your Word and your Spirit here on earth (Eph. 4:11-12). Let us be your hands and feet in a broken and hurting world. We pray earnestly for workers to go out into the harvest of souls here, near, and far (Matt. 9:37). Guide and protect our mission partners as they faithfully serve you. Give us a vision of your great love for every tribe, nation, and people (Rev. 7:9-10). May our church continue to grow for your glory and our good.
