We all crave commendation and approval in some form. Where do you most often seek approval – from others, from yourself, or from God?
How might your life look different if you truly rested in the commendation God gives through faith, rather than chasing it elsewhere?
Can you share about a time when you felt like God was delaying or withholding something good from you? What did that experience reveal about your trust in God’s timing and wisdom?
How do you keep your faith anchored in Jesus when life doesn’t deliver what you expected? What helps you remember that Jesus is better than the gifts or blessings he gives?
In what areas of your life are you tempted to love God’s gifts more than God himself? What would it look like for you to turn to the Giver and say, “Jesus is enough?”
