Hebrews - Week Thirty-Four | Part 1

Hebrews 13:7-19

“The most dangerous person of all is the one who does not emphasize the right things.” - D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

LIFE GROUP DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

  • Who is someone (inside or outside the church) who shaped your faith in a meaningful way early on? What do you remember most about them?

READ HEBREWS 13:7-19

  1. The passage summons us to remember our leaders. What, specifically, are we to remember (13:7)? What might we be tempted to remember instead?

  2. Where are you most tempted to lean on something, or someone, other than Jesus for stability? What would it look like, practically, to shift that weight back to Jesus?

  3. Drift often happens through misplaced emphasis, not outright falsehood. How can you tell when something good has quietly become something central in your faith?

  4. Verse 17 urges us to be “a joy to lead.” What kinds of attitudes or behaviors make leadership joyful rather than burdensome? What is one, small, concrete way you could contribute to the health of our church body?

  5. What is one specific way our group can pray for our pastors, staff, or church this week?
