Hebrews - Week Eleven

Hebrews 5:1-10

A High Priest:

1. Was a mediator between God and man

2. Was weak with sin

3. Was called by God

If someone sins against a man, God will mediate for him, but if someone sins against the Lord, who can intercede for him? 1 Samuel 2:25

Our Great High Priest:

1. Is called by God, forever

2. Was weak, without sin

3. Is a perfect mediator between God and man

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.  1 Timothy 2:5

Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:9–10
