On Sunday, we prayed for those impacted by the government shutdown.

We prayed particularly for those in Rowan County unable to access their government food assistance. We also encouraged those who can to stand in the gap by serving our neighbors in this moment.

After speaking with Rowan Helping Ministries (a long-time mission partner of Life Church), we are aware of two specific needs in our community:

  • Diapers (size 4, 5 & 6)

  • Peanut butter

  • Jelly

  • Canned yams

  • Canned green beans

  • Stuffing mix

  • Canned soup

  • Breakfast items (granola bars, oatmeal, cereal, etc.)

  • Beans (canned or bagged)

  • Canned fruit/fruit cups
