Ephesians - Week 24

Ephesians 6:14-20

LIFE GROUP DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

  • When you hear the phrase “spiritual warfare,” what is your instinctive reaction—fear, interest, skepticism, or something else?

  • What is something you rely on or reach for when you feel vulnerable, threatened, or under pressure?

READ EPHESIANS 6:14-20

  1. Paul tells us to “stand firm,” but the armor he describes ultimately belongs to God and has been worn by Christ. How does knowing that Christ has already won the decisive victory change the way you think about your own struggles with sin, temptation, fear, or suffering?

  2. Which of Satan’s strategies—deception, accusation, temptation, or fear—do you find yourself most vulnerable to? What specific truth about Jesus or the gospel do you need to remember when that happens?

  3. The sermon emphasized that the righteousness of Christ protects us from Satan’s accusations. When you are painfully aware of your own sin and failure, what does it look like practically to “put on” Christ’s righteousness rather than trying to defend yourself or hide from God?

  4. Paul connects the armor of God with persistent prayer. What tends to keep you from praying when you are struggling spiritually, and how might confidence in Christ’s victory change the way you pray?

  5. Paul asks the Ephesians to pray not primarily for his circumstances to change, but that he would have boldness to proclaim the gospel in the midst of his circumstances. What circumstance in your life right now could become an opportunity to point someone else to Jesus?
