Ephesians - Week 4

Ephesians 1:15-23

LIFE GROUP DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

  • As we come to the end of the Spring semester of Life Groups, share with your group evidence that you’ve seen of God’s grace in your life in the past few months.

READ EPHESIANS 1:15-23

  1. In Ephesians, Paul brings together doctrine and prayer by the way he lets doctrine fuel his prayers. Why do we so often separate the two? What would it look like to let doctrine fuel your prayers, like Paul does?

  2. In verse 15, Paul says that he does not stop giving thanks because of the Ephesians faith and love. What are some good things that you have seen within our church that lead you to “give thanks”?

  3. Paul prays that Christians would have the eyes of their hearts enlightened. What are some ways that your heart is prone to become dim towards who God is and what He’s done for us?

  4. Paul prays that the Ephesian church would be enlightened to see fully (1.) the hope they have, (2.) the inheritance they have, and (3.) the power they have in Christ. Is there one, for you personally, that you probably need to pray that God enlightens your heart to understand and believe?

  5. What are some things in your life right now that you will need to believe that God’s power is behind you to accomplish?
