Abraham is the father of Isaac

• Isaac is the father of Esau and Jacob

• Jacob marries Leah and Rachel

• Judah is one of twelve sons of Jacob

Judah has three sons

• Er marries Tamar

• Onan

• Shelah

Tamar has rights

• Wife of the firstborn

• She has the right to be the mother of the heir of Judah

• Judah has failed to protect and provide for her
