Welcome Back LifeKids

Welcome Back LifeKids

Hello Families! We are so excited to be resuming our on-site LifeKids services on Sunday, September 20th! Things will look a little different to ensure safety, but we will still have lots of fun as we worship and learn about God together. Below you will find a video, infographic, as well as a detailed list of all the things you need to know.  We will be opening up slowly and may have to make modifications as guidelines change, so please check our LifeKids updates each week. We can’t wait to see you soon!

Making Reservations

  • LifeKids will be open for the 9:00am service only.
  • To minimize a high volume of contact, and to ensure we have plenty of space for social distancing, we plan on keeping class sizes small.
  • All families will need to make a reservation before bringing their children in on Sunday.
  • We will send out a reservation link each Friday in the weekly email, and it will be posted on our Facebook page as well.
  • Families are encouraged to respond quickly, as there are only so many spots available in each room.
  • Registration will close at 6:00pm the day prior.

Check in:

  • Check in will begin at 8:40am.
  • The LifeKids entrance will be at the glass double doors on the LifeKids side of the building.
  • A team of Disciple Makers will be at the entrance to conduct non-contact temperature checks and health screening questions.
  • Everyone will be required to sanitize their hands before entering the building.
  • We are requesting that only one parent/guardian per family drop-off and pick-up, and the same person who dropped off the child be the one to pick-up.
  • Masks will be required for all adults and children in grades K-5.
  • Our Check-In Team will manually check in families at the check-in station.

Drop Off & Pick Up

  • There will be a designated path to provide a one entrance and one exit path for drop off and pick up.
  • We are requesting that only one parent/guardian per family drop-off and pick-up, and the same person who dropped off the child be the one to pick-up.
  • We are encouraging all parents to please take their children to the restroom prior to being dropped off.
  • Our Disciple Makers will welcome kids using fun contactless greetings.
  • Every child’s hands will be sanitized upon entering and exiting the classroom.

Clubhouse:

  • Masks will be required for children entering the Clubhouse.
  • Children will be directed to join their small group upon entrance and will remain with their small group the entire time.
  • Circle markers will be placed on the floor 6ft apart to encourage social distancing in small groups.
  • Personal items from home will not be allowed in the Clubhouse.
  • Crayons will be individually wrapped and distributed by group leaders.
  • Items will not be passed among children, and children should practice touchless greetings (no hugs or high-fives.)
  • Families can visit our LifeKids Facebook page for discussion questions and at-home activities that will reinforce the morning’s lesson.

Nursery/Preschool Rooms:

  • Diaper bags will be placed directly in the cubbies outside the classrooms.
  • We request that all diaper bags be clearly labeled.
  • There will be a text option for parents to come feed or change their child.
  • Crayons will be individually wrapped and distributed by leaders.
  • We will not be serving snacks during this time.
  • There will be a reduced amount of toys in each classroom.

LifeKids Disciple Makers

  • Our team will do their best to make sure all surfaces, toys, and highly used areas remain clean and sanitized.
  • Disciple Makers will be health screened before entering the building.
  • Disciple Makers will wear their LifeKids shirts and masks the entire time.

Important for All Families

  • Please be on the alert for signs of illness in your children and keep them home if anyone in your family is exhibiting symptoms or has had a fever within the past 48 hours.  We also ask you to refrain from coming if anyone in your family has been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has symptoms of COVID-19.
  • If your family is not yet ready to return with in-person services, your children can watch the lesson through our online experience at www.lifechurchnc.com/live

The reopening of LifeKids has involved much discussion, research, and prayer. The safety of our children is of the utmost importance. We are honored that you have trusted us with your children, and will strive to continue to provide a fun, safe environment where children can grow as they learn about God and His love.

You may notice that this Sunday, September 13th, we are conducting a "soft launch" of LifeKids for some of our disciple maker's families, so you may notice some families and children going into our LifeKids area. This soft launch will give our leaders an opportunity to experience the new practices we are adopting before we welcome all children on September 20th.

If you have any questions as you return with your children, please don't hesitate to reach out to our LifeKids Director, Katie Efird.
