An Invitation to Listen and Pray
Sunday, June 14th at 6pm
As has become painfully and tragically obvious over the past week, the murder of George Floyd has again ripped open wounds caused by centuries of racism and racial injustice in our country. While violent rioting and looting are not the right response to these realities, neither is inaction. The status quo isn’t acceptable anymore. It should never have been in the first place.
How should Christ’s church respond to the pain and injustice we are witnessing? While we might prefer simple answers to that question, in this case there are none. The challenges we face are complex, and the road ahead will be complicated. Yet we can be sure that the best way forward will involve prayerfully listening to those who are hurting, that we might bear the burdens of our brothers and sisters suffering in these days.
We're so glad you've joined us to participate in our prayer gathering virtually. We have invited several friends from outside our church family to help us understand the challenges before us, and to shape our prayers.
If there are ways we can be praying for you, we would be honored to do so. Please use the form below.
